BSTFLEX COLORED FIBERGLASS HEAT RESISTANT EXHAUST HEADER WRAP

This Colored Fiberglass Heat Wrap is heat, flame and fire resistant. Fiberglass (fibreglass or glass-fibre) woven tapes are fabricated from high quality type E fiberglass that will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 1000°F / 520°C.



BSTFLEX COLORED FIBERGLASS HEAT RESISTANT EXHAUST HEADER WRAP can be used to easily identify wiring, cables, hoses or pipes: such as supply or return lines.



Fiberglass offers excellent heat resistance, retaining more than half of its room temperature tensile strength at 675°F / 357°C, and more than 25% at 875°F / 468°C. It begins to soften at 1500°F / 815°C and melts near 2050°F / 1121°C. Non-combustible and excellent thermal conductivity to dissipate hot spots; high resistance to chemicals and unaffected by UV light. This material resists most acids and alkalis and is unaffected by most bleaches and solvents. It is flexible.

This BSTFLEX BRAIDED FIBERGLASS BIAXIAL SLEEVING will conform to shapes with changing geometries. Great for use in prosthetics, hockey sticks and much more. It can be slid over a prepared mandrel or tube to create straight or tapered tubing. Braided Fiberglass Biaxial Sleeve can be increased from their base diameter up to 30% and decreased up to 70%.

BSTFLEX FIRESLEEVE WITH VELCRO protects continuously to 260°C/500°F and will withstand a molten splash at 1200°C/2200°F.Made of knitted fiberglass yarns in a flexible substrate,it is then coated with a high grade silicone rubber.

Braided high bulk glass fiber sleeve can withstand repeated exposures to molten steel, molten aluminum and molten glass up to 3000°F (1650°C).

Sheds splash immediately
BSTFLEX silicone coated fiberglass braided fire sleeve withstands repeated exposures to molten steel, molten aluminum and molten glass up to 3000°F (1650°C). The heavy coating of our proprietary iron oxide red silicone rubber compound sheds molten metal splash immediately, so very little heat transfer occurs.

Withstands intense radiant heat and flame
BSTFLEX silicone coated fiberglass braided fire sleeve will withstand continuous exposure to 500° F (260°C); up to 2000°F (1090°C) for 15-20 minutes; and up to 3000°F (1650°C) for 15-30 seconds. When exposed to flame, the silicone rubber transforms into a crust, creating a protective SiO2 refractory layer.

BSTFLEX silicone coated fiberglass braided fire sleeve is constructed from high bulk glass fiber braided sleeve. Excellent modulus of elasticity makes it an excellent choice for bundling hoses, tubes and cables in a variety of hostile environments.
